Forget boring espresso! Discover the map of signature coffees at Pikawa café Gdańsk.
The Golden Gate, a stroll down Long Street, a souvenir photo by Neptune's Fountain, and finally a moment of rest in the shadow of the monumental St. Mary's Basilica... Gdańsk's Main Town is a place where you can wander for hours. But when you feel your legs demanding a break and your senses craving something special, the key question arises: where to go for really good coffee in Gdańsk?
Most cafés offer the same old classics. Of course, a perfectly prepared flat white or artisan espresso from high-quality beans is essential – and you'll find them here too, prepared with the utmost attention to every detail. But at Pikawa Café on Piwna Street 14/15, we've gone a step further. We've created a menu that's a culinary adventure. Ready for a coffee journey without the boredom? Meet our greatest signature hits!
Pikawa Coffee – our cinnamon-scented signature drink
If this is your first visit, we'll always suggest our local bestseller with a smile. Pikawa Coffee is the pride of our café and an absolute favorite among guests who return to us even after many years.
How do we prepare it? We start with carefully selected coffee, which we masterfully combine with natural golden honey, a pinch of aromatic cinnamon, and exotic cardamom. We top it all off with a fluffy cap of frothed milk. This brew is literally autumn, winter, and the holidays captured in one cup. If you're dreaming of a moment of relaxation after a long day of sightseeing – this is a choice you won't regret.
Diablo Coffee – heat things up!
Gdańsk's Baltic weather can be unpredictable. If a biting wind forces you to wrap up in a scarf, a quick espresso just won't cut it. For seekers of culinary thrills, we've created something special: Diablo Coffee.
It's a devilishly good, spicy and sweet-hot composition that's impossible to ignore. The addition of chili (in the form of authentic Tabasco!) meets sweetness here, along with paprika syrup, cinnamon, and a generous amount of frothed milk. This unusual combination means Diablo wakes you up more effectively than the strongest wind blowing from the Motława River. Will you try it? You'll be amazed at how brilliantly the heat enhances the flavor of roasted beans!
Sweet Indulgences: Black Forest, Cookie Latte, and Coconut
Sometimes coffee isn't just meant to energize, but above all to lift your spirits and act like a full-fledged liquid dessert. In our menu, you'll find options created for those with a sweet tooth.
For fans of fruity notes, we recommend Black Forest. It's a unique combination of a triple dose of caffeine (freshly roasted pour-over coffee from 100% Brazilian Arabica) with homemade sweet-tart cherry purée. The whole thing is completed with thick chocolate couverture and a generous portion of whipped cream.
Or maybe you prefer flavors that evoke carefree childhood summers? Order a Cookie Latte with double espresso and tempting cookie syrup, or our delightful Coconut – richly decorated with cream, coconut flakes, and a delicate hint of chocolate.
Something stronger for those feeling the cold
At Pikawa, we know how to celebrate special moments. If your day is coming to an end and you're looking for relaxation and deep warmth, our section with "a little something extra" is for you. The star here is authentic, classic Irish Coffee. Properly strong black coffee meets 30 ml of excellent Jameson Irish whiskey, a drop of caramel syrup, and traditional sweet whipped cream. One cup gets your blood flowing faster, and even the rainiest Gdańsk evening takes on beautiful colors.
